Eligibility

Membership & Eligibility

The following persons and/or groups or persons are eligible to join Associated Federal Employees Federal Credit Union:
  • Employees of the United States Government who work in or are supervised from the State of Utah (formerly Employees of the United States Government, who reside in Utah and who work in or are supervised from Salt Lake County, Utah).
  • Employees of the United States Government, who reside in Utah and who work in the Wallace Bennett Federal Building at 125 South State Street in Salt Lake City, Utah.
As a result of the merger of Exchange Credit Union effective March 31, 2003 the following is added:
  • Employees of the following divisions of the U.S. Department of the Interior with duty stations in Salt Lake City, Utah:
    • Office of Hearing and Appeals, Office of the Regional Solicitor, Upper Colorado Regional Office of the Bureau of Reclamation;
    • Employees of the U.S. Department of Energy, area of office of the Western Area Power Administration, with duty stations in Salt Lake City, Utah;
    • Members of record of the Exchange Credit Union as of the effective date of the merger on March 31, 2003.
The following has been added effective April 1, 2011 as a result of the merger of Treasury Credit Union:
  • Employees of the United States Department of Treasury who work in the State of Utah and Members of record of Treasury Credit Union as of the effective date of the merger.
  • Spouses of persons who died while a member of this credit union;
  • employees of this credit union;
  • persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employees of this credit union; members of their immediate families or households;
  • and organizations of such persons.
